Waikato Show

April 8th - 10th 2022 - Cancelled

Sadly the Waikato Show has been cancelled, but we can’t wait to celebrate with you in 2023!

The Waikato Show is all about fun and connecting the people of the Waikato by experiencing the multiple cultures in our region through arts, entertainment and food.

From its early days as an Agricultural and Dairy Show in 1907, the Waikato Show is unique in New Zealand and has grown to become a showcase of the Waikato. It celebrates and offers a taste of the region’s diverse communities, organisations, and businesses.

What's on Offer

The Show hosts a number of expos ranging from commercial backgrounds through to full community-based education sections.

Live on the Lawn

The Lawn features cultural and original performances from Waikato locals. Enjoy a fun and colourful line-up of performances that’s sure to get you dancing.

Special event: Schools' Day Out

There is a specially designed programme on the Friday of the Show for schools through a pre-registration system. This is an Autumn inspired programme and has a focus on different learning stations throughout the Show. The students have the opportunity to learn about sustainability of the environment, participate in competitions, experience garden to table snack making, discover new clubs in the community, visit the Alpacas and Farmyard, learn about our local service heroes and become safety ready at the Safety Expo.
